As a general rule, it is advisable to come to the laboratory fasting, as eating can affect the results of various analyses. However, some analyses require you to observe a strict fast. If in doubt, your GP will be able to advise you. However, there is no problem in drinking water before taking a blood sample; on the contrary, it can make the blood test easier.

Routine tests, such as a blood count, can be completed the same day. More specific tests often take longer. Treatment times can vary from a few days to 3 weeks, depending on the test. So be patient, be patient.

If your doctor has indicated "at home" on the prescription, our visit to your home will be paid for by the CNS. Otherwise, we will charge you €20 for a home blood test. You can request an appointment by telephone on +352 780 290-1 or by e-mail at contact@labo.lu.

If you have received an invitation from the Ministry of Health to undergo colorectal cancer screening, you can collect your test kit from us. At www.labo.lu, you can see which centres have PDOCCR kits in stock. You can also order your kit online or by telephone on (+352) 780 290-1. We will send you your kit by post. You can return the kit to us or drop it off at one of our centres.
